There is a lot of great riding around Alton! Whether you’re looking for a quiet sunset cruise or some hardcore climbs, we have just the thing. If you’re prepared to tackle some gravel road and a bit of trail you have a world of choices leading right from the shop! Stop in if want directions.
1. Porterfield – Beechgrove Loop: 8km, gravel & pavement, option to add some trail through the Grange
2. Highpoint Side Rd. – Shaw’s Creek Rd: 15km, gravel & pavement, one long hill, option to add a stop at GoodLot Farmstead Brewing Co.
3. Elora-Cataract Trailway: For us it’s the Cataract-Elora trail! Just a 10 minute ride from the shop is the Cataract end of the trail. Pick your distance, up to 100k out and back.
4. Grange Side Rd: Not to be confused with the Alton Grange, this ride is a 32k gravel/pavement/trail loop that takes in Forks of the Credit Provincial Park, Belfountain, and a 500ft climb!
